Make Money from Blog Marketing – The Basics

Posted by admin | Blogging for Cash | Wednesday 16 September 2009 11:58 am

The blog marketing is not an easy thing if you are a new comer. The new comers do find a lot of problems and often they are deterred by the lack of useful information available for them. But if you are blog marketing guru, there would be not even a single problem for you to market your blog effectively. The blog marketing is easy if you are not new and have some experience of the field.

The blog marketing is not something that will return a thousand dollars in weeks. This is the wrong impression that most of the people have. The blog marketing is something that takes dedication and hard work and there might be zero positive outcomes immediately. You have to be patient to reap the fruits of your hard work and dedication. At start it may seem that there is too much hard work and very little or no return. But if you stay focused and keep moving in the right direction, you will see that after some times your dreams will come true and you will have hundreds and thousands of visitors every day to your blog.

There are many things that can help you to market your blog effectively. You can do simple things by leaving comments on others’ blogs. This is the simplest way to get some traffic. You should visit the similar blogs and then leave interesting comments there to attract the visitors to your own blog. These visitors can then become readers if they like your content. At start this may not seem the right thing to market the blog and you may wonder what help it could be of, but once you start doing this, you will like it and you will have the visitors as well. You will realize it after some time and patience is the key here.

You should also make regular posts in your blog. Keep it updated and do not forget it at all. The readers like blogs that are updated regularly. So, it will help your visitors and readers come back to your blog again and again.

Monitor the traffic by knowing the stats. You should know where the traffic is coming from. You should know which search engines is directing the traffic and which one is not directing the traffic. Once you know the problem area, research more about that search engine. Look for the keywords that are benefiting you and those that are not helping you.

With all these things done right, there is no way that you will not have millions of visitors to your blog.

My Blog Is My Fortune!

Posted by admin | Blogging for Cash | Thursday 13 August 2009 11:58 am

In this world of economic recession who doesn’t want to make money? And making money while sitting home and writing topics which you like the most, is definitely an inviting offer. Why not avail it? In fact the best way to do so is by creating a blog of your own. There are countless web hosting websites which help you do that, some good ones which I can think about are www.wordpress.com or even www.blogger.com . The rest depends on you and what you want to do.

Making money online is certainly not a trivial job. Ask those who make small fortunes online and they’ll tell you that how much they had to do, in order to achieve their goal. There are people who start blogs, are active at first, but ultimately their blogs die down. Why does it happen? Is it that they’re not good enough? No! Some people who start blogs are much more educated and talented than those who are already the “kings of blogging”. The reason is that these people are not consistent and eventually loose heart when they’re blogs stop getting traffic.

“I expect to maintain this contest until successful, or till I die, or am conquered, or my term expires………”—Abraham Lincoln

Hence, keeping in mind the above quote, everything dies or expires when it stops its struggle, just like water becomes stagnant when it stops running. Therefore, even your blog expires when you run short of ideas and stop posting on it due to any reason, it may even be laziness.

To create a successful blog, let me give you some tips:

• The main topic of your blog should be the one in which you’re most interested,
• Set up a goal at the start of your month,
• Use flagship blogs to attract traffic,
• Be short and concise in writing,
• What you write should be clear and easy to understand,
• Know your audience.

Apart from the above points one basic thing that you should keep in mind is that the niche that you choose for your blog should be the topic about which you’re most knowledgeable. It can be anything, from your hobbies to your work or simple writing. Use the above points to start a blog and use keywords in your blog in order to attract more traffic. if there comes a time when your blog receives less traffic or no traffic at all than do not loose heart, be determined and keep on writing, in the end you’ll surely achieve your goal.

Make your blog more informative. Add plug-ins to your blog to make it colorful and versatile. If you have multiple passions than you can always write about them. Rather than launching products, give your honest opinion about them and always “BE ORIGINAL”. Write about anything you can and want to write and keep on writing and there’ll be a day when your blog will be overflowing with money even more than you desired.

Ways to Drive Traffic to a Blog

D’rifin

As the phrase ‘make money online’ becoming more popular now days, there are a lot opportunities available on the net for public to join. Many people get caught with the phrase because they always thought it is easy as it sound but the true is not. A lot of work and effort must be done before you can get what you are looking for.

Anyway, the simple and basic strategic for every business is to bring as many customers as we can because no matter how good is our product without customer it is nothing. In this case traffics are our main objective. I am not going to talk about SEO or how to be on the first page of organic search but I am going to discuss about how to bring in traffics to your blog using tools other than the organic search. There a many ways but below are a few that I feel most popular and effective way that will generate traffics to your blog.

Pay per click
This is an Internet advertising program that applies on search engines, advertising networks, and content sites, such as blogs or website, in which advertisers pay only when their ad is clicked. With a proper keyword and budget setting, pay per click can be very useful tools to drive traffics and eventually generating money. Example of pay per click advertising program is Google Adwords.

Social networking website
No money needed but yet still manage to drive in a huge amount of traffics to your blog. I have made a quick search on one largest and most popular social networking website Facebook and have found there are more than 20 million people in United Kingdom have sign up for Facebook.

Tell a friend
Don’t forget that by sending a marketing email is also a good way to promote your blog. Tell a friend is a tool that will allow your visitors to promote your blog on your behalf. If the contents of your blog are interesting, useful and informative, people will recommend to others using tell a friend tool and your will see that your blog spreading like a wild fire. Socialtwist is a good example of tell a friend

Actually there are many more ways to generate traffics other than be on the first page of an organic search. Eager to be on the first page sometime make people forgot about other opportunities to generate traffics.

‘Get paid to Blog’ websites offer many easy and fast money making opportunity for bloggers in all niches. Bloggers can earn money by writing posts about products, services and advertisers website with these networks on their blogs.

To start making money with any of paid blogging (Get paid to blog) networks, we need to create a publisher or blogger account. All paid networks have their own terms and conditions for accepting new publishers into their network. Some network goes for blog that have:

  • Good page rank

  • Some minimum blog age like 3 months
  • Blog cached in major search engines
  • Blogs in active state with some minimum posts in a week or month time

So you should submit your best blog in these networks if you are serious about making money with them. And when we think about the money we will be able to make by writing some paid posts on our blog can be as little as $5 and also can be as high as $1000. But you surely have higher chance of making money with these networks if you have a blog having good page rank like 5 or 6.

So go and create a publisher account on some of popular paid blogging networks like Payperpost, ReviewMe, SponSoredReviews, Smorty and Blogsvertise etc. And once you get your account approved on any of these networks, don’t forget to check your account several times a day. With this, you should check your e-mails on regular basis as some networks send notification about open or available opportunities in your e-mail account that you used while creating account on these networks. Here is a brief summary about top 3 paid blogging networks available today on internet:

Payperpost – is the biggest and most popular company in paid blogging niche. Best thing about this paid blogging network is the high amount of advertisers and thus lots of money making opportunities if you have a blog with some good page rank. The downside about this network is possibly the Google penalty your blog may have to face as you have to including some content like ‘Sponsored by Payperpost’ at the end of each post that you write for this network. They send your earnings on monthly basis in your paypl account.

SponsoredReviews – They have also large number of advertisers waiting for your bids to be placed. Login into your account and browse through the open opportunities and place your bids according to the amount of money you are willing to get paid for that task and according to the maximum budget specified by the advertiser.

ReviewMe – forget about this network if you don’t have a blog with good page rank, Alexa ranking and hundred of RSS subscribers. You can write up to 10 paid posts via this network in a month time. They send payments on the 1st of every month into your paypal account for the previous month earnings.

Acting vs. Blogging

Posted by admin | Blogging for Cash | Tuesday 17 March 2009 11:58 am

This guest post was written by Michael-John Wolfe. Michael is an actor. In the past few years, he has completed supporting roles opposite Tom Cruise (Collateral), Brad Pitt (Mr. and Mrs. Smith) and Tim Allen (The Shaggy Dog). When Michael is free, he will blog. He blog about topics like residuals income and make money online.

For the past five years I have been in Hollywood trying to make a living as a working actor. At first, I had dreams and aspirations of being the next Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise or George Clooney. I set the bar high, yet I started at the lowest point possible – I was doing non-union background work for $54 for eight hours of work. I hardly cracked $15,000 my first year in L.A. and times were lean, I was living in a small 500 square foot apartment and I barely had enough money for meals. I slowly climbed the ladder and got into SAG and AFTRA – the two main actor’s unions. My earnings began to rise and I was fortunate to get some small one line roles in movies like Collateral with Tom Cruise and Mr. and Mrs. Smith with. (you can find my name in the credits of both of these films.) After that, I started booking principal roles in commercials and the last few years my earnings have climbed over $80,000 per year. (I am not boasting – just letting you know that it was a tough climb and the fact that I stuck with acting, rewarded me in the end.) I may never reach Brad Pitt status (or even Howie Mandell status!) but acting has been very good to me.

The funny thing is, I just started my Residuals and Royalties blog a month ago and I realized that the blogging world is very similar to the acting world. My blog is just starting to get some traffic, but I feel like I did when I was starting out in acting and living in that 500 square foot apartment. You might say that Alan Liew, Carl Ocab and Grizzly are the Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and George Clooneys of the blogging world. (maybe slightly less handsome however) Of course, I would love to be on page one for “make money online” – but the task seems as tough as becoming a famous actor. So my intentions are to work diligently at my blog and post quality content each day in hopes that my blog can create a nice source of supplemental income for me and my family.

While you may never see me at the Oscars on the red carpet, maybe someday I will share page one with Alan, Carl and Griz!

Monetize Your Blog with Widget Bucks

Posted by admin | Blogging for Cash | Tuesday 3 March 2009 11:58 am

Guest post by Joe Soderlund

Widget Bucks can be a great source of income to your blog or website. In this post I will tell about Widget Bucks and how you can use them to monetize your blog.

Widget Bucks is a program that allows you to place certain ads on your site. It will pay you a certain amount per click. I have learned that a user receives an average of 25 cents per click. The ads they offer are different to the conventional text and banner ads that you are used to. The ads show products that are for sale. These ads look very professional and are very appealing (at least to me).

Use with Google AdSense for maximum revenue

Widget Bucks can be a great source of income for your blog, but it is best if used with another ad company like Google AdSense or Bidvertiser.. Combining Widget Bucks with Google AdSense ensures that your blog has a variety of different ads. Many bloggers have successfully used both to monetize their blog.

Referral Program

Widget Bucks offers a referral program that can give you a second way to make money. For each person you refer, you get 15 percent of their earnings for the first twelve months. While this isn’t the greatest referral program I’ve seen,. Once you sign up you are automatically in it so you might as well take advantage of it. There are many banner and text ads that Widget Bucks gives you to help you gain referrals.

If you are looking to monetize your blog and want another program to coincide with AdSense, then you might want to consider Widget Bucks. The good thing about this company is you pick and choose the ad and the location you want it. With Widget Bucks you gain another source of income for your blog.

How to Make Fast Money with a Blog

Posted by admin | Blogging for Cash | Monday 2 February 2009 11:58 am

Guest Post by Anil Gupta

When we search internet to find some easy ways to monetize our blog, we find lots of stuff already written on this topic. And when we study deeply at all ways to earn money from a blog, there may be hundreds of ways to earn revenue from a blog. But not all methods are going to help you make some quick cash. In today’s article, I will discuss some techniques that a blogger in any niche can follow to monetize his/her blogs quickly and fastly:

PPC Ads – With PPC (Pay per click) Ads, we are going to get paid for every click that is made of an Ad on our blog. There are many networks who are offering PPC Ads in all niches. And the most popular PPC Ad networks are Google Adsense and YPN (Yahoo Publisher network), which is available for US citizens only right now. Applying for Google Adsense will not take more than 2 minutes and once you have Google AdSense Account, you have to just place AdSense widgets on your blog where you want the ads to appear. AdSense ads are highly customizable and can be placed in any section of a blog. All PPC networks serve ads according to the content of your blog.

Text & Banner ads – Selling text and banner ads will be easiest way to monetize your blog if it’s already popular. There are lots of advertisers who are willing to place their ads on top blogs in their niche. We can earn from $10 to $100 or so for a link/banner for a month on our blog depending upon our blog popularity, traffic, Alexa ranking and Google Page rank. We can add a section like ‘Advertise here’ or ‘Banner’ here on our blog to attract advertisers. With this, we can also try some networks that can sell text/banner ads on your behalf and will share revenue with us.

Writing Articles – With these options, we can make money with what we are already doing i.e. blogging. There may be many advertisers in your niche who will be interested in getting a review about their service or product on your blog. With this ‘Get Paid to Blog’ kind of scheme, we are asked to write a review about a product or service and include their links within our review. But we should be extra cautious when going for this scheme. We should write about advertisers only who are directly or indirectly related to our niche and if possible should include nofollow links in our paid posts. There are many paid blogging networks on internet where you can register yourself to get extra money making opportunities. Some of popular ‘Get Paid to Blog’ networks are Payperpost, ReviewMe and SponsoredReviews.
